Developing Global Competence in Ourselves and Others
Given the interconnectedness of today’s world, it is not surprising that all sectors are calling for greater global competence. The ability to work and interact appropriately across cultural boundaries is essential. The workshop format will consist of experiential exercises, short lecturettes, and realistic, relevant case studies that allow for practice and feedback.
The learning objectives are to understand and put into practice: • The need for global competence • Measurement and assessment for individuals and programs • Personal development lessons • Teaching global competencies • Designing developmental experiences for oneself and others
