Understanding Space Exploration and the Natural Forces That Shaped Qatar Peninsula

Thursday 19 April 2018, 10.00AM – 11.00AM Special Events Area, Qatar National Library, Education City, Doha, Qatar

Qatar National Library is pleased to invite all to a public lecture on the natural forces that define Qatar’s environment, and their significant role in shaping past, present, and future life in Qatar.

In this lecture, Dr Heggy will discuss how Qatar’s early people may have developed a unique understanding of groundwater and sea levels, dune movements, and other phenomena, and how they built an intuitive scientific heritage that helped them understand natural forces, therefore adapting their daily survival around climatic shifts.

The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session.
