Five Activities Waiting for You on National Sport Day in Education City

On the second Tuesday of February, members of Qatar’s community take a day to focus on their health and wellbeing. With National Sport Day happening tomorrow, we’ve put together a list of what’s happening at Education City!

1. QF Race

The QF Race is a 2km long obstacle course that will span the length of Oxygen Park. With 17 challenging obstacles, the course will put players’ speed, agility and determination to the test! Players have to complete it in the shortest time possible to be eligible for the cash prizes being sponsored by Vodafone Qatar. As a team, you are eligible to win up to QR15,000, and QR6,000 as an individual competitor.

The race takes place from 9am to 6pm at the Oxygen Park! Bring your #GameOn!

2. QF Mini Track

The fun isn’t only for the adults! The QF Mini Track is an inflatable obstacle course that will make tomorrow exciting, fun, and challenging for kids too. Located at the Ceremonial Green Spine, the track will be placed along with other activities and games designed especially for kids!

3. Shukran Cup

The Shukran Cup is an exciting tournament organized to express our gratitude to the many people who support us behind the scenes in construction sites, kitchens, pantries, and more, and are essential in ensuring the smooth running of our operations at QF. Be sure to stop by and cheer them on, and attend the awarding ceremony at Oxygen Park at 1pm!

4. Dogpound & local partners

We’ve invited some very cool organizations to come and be part of our National Sport Day activities. Dogpound, which has been dubbed “NYC’s Most Instagrammed Gym”, are bringing their sample workouts to Qatar! The CEO of Dogpound, Kirk Myers, will be at QF with Olympic gold medalist Conor Dwyer to give everyone an intense workout. Bonus point: Ibtihaj Muhammad, the first Muslim-American athlete to compete in the Olympics in a hijab and earn a bronze medal as part of Team USA will be joining them in a few workouts too!

If that’s not your thing, don’t worry. We’ve also got some amazing local businesses running their own sessions at Education City. RideTribe, BeatBox, Vishnu Swasthi Yoga, F45 and more will be joining us for a range of activities!

5. Ladies-Only Activities

Ladies, we’re catering specifically for you as well. Throughout the day, we’ll be running ladies-only activities at Multaqa (Education City Student Center), ensuring complete privacy. There will be full body workouts, zumba sessions, circuit trainings, and more for you to join in with!
